Project Description: The adaptive reuse of this nineteenth-century, Federal-style home necessitated extensive repairs to the interior of the building. Restoring the architectural character of the former home was an important objective in this project and involved the refinishing of the original wood doors, trim, casework and floor while new items were selected to match the original furnishings as much as possible. Improvements included the removal of some interior partition walls, added over the years, in order to increase the amount of usable space for the Bureau. |
