Project Description: Throughout the project, there was an emphasis placed on staff security. Visibility of all inmate areas was necessary to maintain proper control. A centralized plan was used for the main housing building because it allows visual access to a maximum number of inmates with a minimum staff. The facility's 204 beds are successfully monitored by only three secure control rooms. The success of this project has allowed it to serve as a model for future correctional facilities. |
