Mr. Sherley has 14 years experience in
architectural design and contract administration. His architectural
experience is supplemented by 3 yrs experience in construction project
management and 5 yrs of experience in the building trades. Mr. Sherley
has served large and small clients across a broad range of project types
including: educational, governmental, industrial, commercial, health
care, food processing and residential. Mr. Sherley has delivered
projects throughout the North-eastern & Mid-western U.S., Idaho, Oregon
& Arizona, and internationally in lreland. Mr. Sherley has tailored
architectural services to meet client needs by way of a variety of
delivery formats such as studies, phased bid packages, negotiated
packages, design-build packages, etc.
Mr. Sherley was actively
involved technical theater in formal main stage productions,
experimental theater in-the-round settings and informal dining hall
productions. Mr. Sherley’s experience includes study of lighting design
under William Warfel, lighting design for and participation in running
crew for numerous productions.

Project Experience
Governor’s
Residence - State of Idaho, Boise, ID:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, assisting in design and development
of representation for the schematic design phase of the conversion of a
7,600sqft private residence that had been donated to the state of Idaho into
the 12,000sqft official Governor’s residence.
Vehicle Maintenance Facility, Grant County, OR:
Mr. Sherley served as project architect, ing design, production bidding
and construction administration of a new 24,000sqft heavy truck maintenance
and office facility for Grant County. Project mixed masonry and
pre-engineered metal building construction types in different formats
appropriate to scale of each of three component buildings. Construction
completed in March 2005.
Building Maintenance Facility, Moundsville, WV:
Mr. Sherley served as project architect, ing design, production bidding
and construction administration of a new 4,500sqft maintenance shop facility
for Marshall County Schools. Facility is sited on the grounds of an existing
neighborhood school sensitive to its residential context. Construction
scheduled to complete in the fall of 2007.
Parkersburg
High School, Parkersburg, WV:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, assisting in design and ing
production, in the phased renovation of a 176,000sqft historically
valuable high school and addition of a contextually sensitive 38,400sqft
science/kitchen/cafeteria wing. Renovations included selective
departmental relocation, classroom renovation and selective resizing to
facilitate accomplishment of current educational objectives, ADA
compliance modifications and substantial HVAC, electrical and fire
protection upgrades. Project began construction May, 2006.
Parkersburg South High School Renovation, Parkersburg, WV:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, assisting in design and ing
production, in the shell and interior renovation of a 29,700sqft
classroom building and interior reorganization into classroom and
cafeteria space of a 32,900sqft votech shop and kitchen building.
Project began construction May 2007.
Parkersburg South High School Pavillion, Parkersburg, WV:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, ing design and production, in
the design of a new 14,400sqft pavilion structure to provide interior
circulation and interior gathering and exterior courtyard space between
five campus buildings across a sloped site. Project began construction
August 2007.
Micro Chip
Foundry, Confidential Client, Dublin, Ireland:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, assisting production in design
and production in the design of a high volume wafer fabrication
facility.
Micro Chip Foundry, Confidential Client, Chandler, AZ:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, assisting in production in the
conversion of manufacturing processes from 200mm to 300mm in an existing
facility. Conversion included reconfiguring of clean room & support
spaces, heavy coordination with engineering disciplines.
Micro Electronics R & D Facility, Confidential Client, Hudson, MA:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, assisting in the design and
construction administration of a series of sustaining engineering and
code compliance projects.
Ross Products Division, Abbott Laboratories, Casa Grande, AZ:
Mr. Sherley served as staff architect, assisting production in design
and production in the reconfiguration of an existing processing plant to
accommodate the addition of a processing/packaging line for a product
new to the facility. Project was designed and detailed to conform to FDA
standards.
Gym Outfitters, Boise, ID:
Mr. Sherley served as project architect, ing design, production
bidding and construction administration of a new 14,500sqft
showroom/assembly/storage facility for an exercise equipment
distributor. The project combined traditional masonry construction with
tilt-up concrete panels and pre-engineered metal building components.
Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA:
Mr. Sherley served as project and staff architect, on the design,
production bidding and construction administration phases of a set of
intra hospital space reallocation projects. Departments ranged from
Labor & Delivery suites to Emergency, to Extended Care. Projects ranged
from clinical to parking garages.
